As we all well know, the past few year has had its challenges. We are a committed group of riders and I’m so happy that we were able to carry on with our Mountain Trail challenges, and ability to work within the Covid 19 Guidelines. It wasn’t easy! We’re a tight knit, campfire sitting, information sharing, wine sipping group. But we played safe!
We had our usual 10 shows, with the Championships being held in Kamloops at Circle Creek (Sagewood Mountain Trail Course) …Congratulations to all the Championship Buckle winners as well as the hard-fought reserve Champions winners. I may be biased, but I think we are a talented lot! |
Welcome toBC Mountain Trail
More than just trail riding, it's the experience of learning how to work with your horse and develop your skill as a rider as you navigate through natural obstacles. These can be log or trestle bridges, water crossings, rock paths or climbing up and down a hillside. You learn how to 'trust' your mount as they also come to trust you.
It's an experience that helps increase your confidence as a rider out on the trail or in the arena. But there's more! There are competitions that take place throughout the Pacific Northwest and British Columbia that test you and your horse to a higher level. These competitions cater to all skill levels from beginner to experienced, saddled or 'in hand', and open to all ages and breeds of horses. |
